Gastric balloon involves placing a spherical ball (gastric ball) into the stomach using endoscopy. Once in place, the balloon is inflated occupying a significant proportion of the volume of the stomach resulting in lesser available space for food. This will make you feel fuller quicker and by eating less; weight loss is easier achieved coupled with a healthier diet and regular exercise. The procedure is done under mild sedation.
Most gastric balloons need to be removed after 6 months to prevent gastric wall damage.
We are partnering with Dr. Ganesh Ramalingam to provide this service.
